Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed its naval forces struck an American unmanned surface vessel attempting to breach restricted waters in the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC stated that the strategic waterway remains under Iranian control and warned the US that any hostile action will face a firm response.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its naval force struck an American Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) that had been "trying to breach the restricted area of the Strait of Hormuz".

The IRGC said in a statement: “This strategic waterway, is under the control of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and any move by the child-killing enemy will be met with a firm response.”

"The US must know that there is no other way than to leave the region and abandon its evil actions.”
