Araghchi adamant 'no change' in Iran's position, says conditions 'completely fair and reasonable'

Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran's conditions to the US are "completely fair and reasonable", adding that there has been no change in the country's position.

"There have been claims made for several hours now, and I can state with certainty that there has been no change in Iran's position," Araghchi told Iranian media.

He said that Tehran's conditions for the deal are "clear", including it stance on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

"Right now, it's just the issue of the Strait of Hormuz. The opening of the Strait of Hormuz is also subject to the fulfillment of the conditions that we announced to the other side," Araghchi said.

"There are conditions from the Supreme Leader, and these conditions must be implemented in order for the Strait of Hormuz to open, and our mission was to convey these conditions to both the American side and all other countries and the international community, so that they are aware that Iran has a plan in this regard.

"Iran's conditions are completely fair and reasonable, and if the Americans claim that they are seeking an agreement or a peaceful solution, we should introduce this solution."
