Britain has expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia following Houthi attacks from Yemen, according to the Saudi foreign ministry. British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband affirmed the kingdom's right to take necessary measures to defend its security and resources under international law.
The British government has expressed its “solidarity” with Saudi Arabia after attacks by Houthis in Yemen, according to the Saudi foreign ministry.
During a phone call with the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Britain’s Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, also affirmed the kingdom’s right to take “necessary measures to defend its security and resources under international law”, the Ministry said.
They also discussed “intensifying joint efforts” to ensure security and freedom of navigation in waterways and to protect global trade and supply chains from the effects of the current crisis, added the ministry statement.
