An Israeli air strike targeting an ambulance in southern Lebanon killed one paramedic and wounded two others early on Monday, according to local media reports.

The paramedic, identified as Ali Shahrour, was killed while the vehicle was being driven in the town of Kfar Rumman in Nabatieh governorate.

Emergency teams were dispatched to the area following the Israeli attack, where the victims were later transported to a nearby hospital.

Israeli strikes and shelling in southern Lebanon has intensified in recent days, despite a ceasefire.

On Sunday, at least seven people, including two women, were killed and 20 others were wounded.
