Araghchi, Iraqi foreign minister stress security along shared borders

Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, and his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, held a telephone conversation to discuss and exchange views on bilateral issues and regional developments, IRNA reported.

The two ministers emphasised the importance of stability and security along their shared borders and the need for continued coordination.

The two sides also underscored the necessity of adopting responsible approaches toward regional developments, stressing the importance of preventing the escalation of tensions and the expansion of the scope of conflicts in the region, the report said.
