France has pledged an additional $3.36 million in humanitarian aid to Yemen as renewed military clashes displace over 200,000 people. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot announced that Paris will increase its total assistance to the Yemeni population to more than €7 million in 2026.

France has pledged an additional $3.36m to Yemen as renewed fighting displaces more than 200,000 people.

“The Houthi offensive in the ‌Bab al-Mandab strait has triggered a new humanitarian shock,” French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot told humanitarian groups in Paris.

“In response to ⁠this tragedy, I ⁠have decided to allocate an additional 3m euros in support, bringing ⁠our total aid to the Yemeni population ⁠to more than ⁠7m euros in 2026."
