Saudi Arabia's UN representative pledged that Riyadh will implement all necessary measures to counter Houthi attacks and safeguard its security and sovereignty. The Saudi diplomat called on the Security Council to issue a clear message demanding an end to attacks on the Kingdom, military escalation in Yemen, and threats to international navigation.
Saudi Arabia’s UN representative Abdulaziz al-Wasil said that Riyadh will take “all necessary measures to deter Houthi attacks and protect our security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity".
The Saudi representative told a UN Security Council meeting that Saudi Arabia supports Yemeni-led political solutions that meet "the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people for security, stability and prosperity”.
The diplomat called on the Security Council to send a message “that the targeting of the Kingdom must cease, military escalation within Yemen must stop and threats to international navigation must come to an end”.
