Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned enemy forces that their time in the Arabian Sea is running out, claiming Iranian fighters have forced them from the country's southern waters. He made these remarks during Sacred Defence Week, commemorating the Iran-Iraq War and the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned enemy forces that they will soon lose their foothold in the Arabian Sea, after saying Iranian fighters had forced them away from the country’s southern waters, state media reported.
“Having suffered painful blows from our valiant combatants and the guardians of the Strait of Hormuz, they [the enemy] dare not venture beyond the Arabian Sea,” he said.
“Whenever they have risked doing so, they have only inflicted harm upon themselves; and the time is fast approaching when the Arabian Sea, too, will be cleared of their presence.”
His message marked Sacred Defence Week, which commemorates the Iran-Iraq War, and the anniversary of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah’s killing in 2024.
