Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi denounced Israeli PM Netanyahu as a 'wanted war criminal' with blood on his hands, citing an interview with Netanyahu's former military secretary who alleged the premier sacrificed opportunities to recover hostages to preserve his governing coalition.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being a "wanted war criminal" with "blood on his hands" and "no regard for his own people" in a post on X on Saturday.
Araghchi shared an interview with Netanyahu's former military secretary Avi Gil, who said the prime minister had abandoned possible opportunities to secure the return of the hostages taken by Hamas on the 7 October 2o23 attack because an agreement threatened his governing coalition.
"Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal with Arab, American & Iranian blood on his hands. To escape justice, he has no regard for his own people either," Araghchi wrote.
"Like a degenerate gambler, he's desperately seeking to save himself with more U.S. blood and treasure," he added.
