Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, spoke by phone to discuss recent regional developments, Islamabad confirmed in a statement.
During the call, Dar emphasised the critical need for secure shipping routes and uninterrupted energy supplies, warning of the potential fallout for developing nations and global supply chains. He further stressed that "dialogue and diplomacy" remain the only viable paths to regional peace.
The two diplomats agreed to maintain close cooperation and are scheduled to meet in person in New York on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly.
