Iran's National Oil Company chief dismissed claims of an attack on Kharg Island following a Trump AI video depicting its destruction. Officials stated that conditions on the island remain calm and that oil operations continue uninterrupted despite previous assaults.
The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, Hamid Bovard, has denied that a key oil hub was being destroyed in Kharg Island, after US President Donald Trump's AI video showed it "being blown to smithereens".
"Trump's tweets are laughable and conditions in Kharg are calm and appropriate," Nournews cited him as saying.
Bovard also indicated that the island - where majority of Iranian oil exports originate from - has been repeatedly attacked by US and Israel, but oil workers had not allowed operations to stop "even for a moment".
He added that contractors were currently rebuilding and modernising storage tanks and jetties.
