Irish police have released three people arrested over a suspected arson attack that killed four members of the English family in Waterford, without charging them. A fourth suspect remains in custody.

Three people, who were arrested in connection with a suspected arson attack which killed four family members in the Republic of Ireland, have been released, gardaí (Irish police) have said.

Philip and Kim English and two of their children - nine-year-old Jayden and 12-year-old Callum - died after their home in Birch Avenue, on the outskirts of Waterford was set on fire earlier this month.

A man aged in his 20s and a woman in her 30s were previously charged in connection with the attack.

On Saturday, gardaí said three people - two women in their 30s and a man in his 50s - who were arrested on Tuesday have been released without charge.

A fourth person, a man in his 20s who was arrested on Thursday, remains in custody.
