Israeli forces and settlers conducted widespread raids across the occupied West Bank, detaining dozens of Palestinians and injuring others in coordinated military operations. The operations targeted Jenin city, multiple towns and villages, while also restricting Palestinian movement and attacking homes and property.
Several Palestinians were detained and several were injured in raids by Israeli forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank. Here is a recap of some of these incidents reported by Wafa:
* Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians during raids on Jenin city and several towns and villages across the governorate on Sunday.
* Two children, 15-year-old Majed Maher Abdel Fattah and 14-year-old Ahmad Mahmoud Shokeh, were detained during a raid on their home in Bethlehem city.
* Israeli forces tightened military measures at the Atara checkpoint, north of Ramallah, obstructing the movement of Palestinian vehicles and causing severe traffic congestion.
* A Palestinian man was injured by Israeli gunfire in the Ras al-Amud area of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.
* Israeli bulldozers on Saturday evening began levelling Palestinian-owned land and reopening blocked roads to facilitate the movement of Israeli settlers during their attacks on the village, according to Amin Abu Alia, head of the Al-Mughayyir Village Council.
* Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in Yasuf village, east of the town of Salfit in the central West Bank.
* Israeli soldiers seized a bulldozer belonging to a Palestinian resident in the town of Bidya, west of Salfit.
* Israeli forces stormed the village of Muthallath al-Shuhada, south of Jenin, accompanied by detained teenager Omar Fadi Abu Murad. Soldiers raided his father’s home, as well as several homes belonging to his uncles, and ransacked them.
* A 68-year-old man suffered injuries to his back and chest, while a 14-year-old boy broke his hand during an Israeli raid on Marka, south of Jenin.
* Israeli forces arrested several Palestinians during raids across Jenin governorate, including in Deir Abu Daif and Faqqua, and carried out further searches in Zububa, al-Silah al-Harithiya and other areas.
* Two brothers were arrested in Tammun, south of Tubas, while Israeli forces also raided Tayasir. Settlers attacked the outskirts of Burqa, east of Ramallah, throwing stones at homes and vehicles and damaging at least one car.
* In occupied East Jerusalem, a Palestinian man was forced to demolish five businesses he owned in the Wadi al-Joz industrial area after being threatened with heavy municipal fines.
