Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has distanced Tehran from the Houthis, asserting that Iran is 'not at war with Saudi Arabia' and that the group has 'their own issues.' The statement comes as tensions escalate following Houthi attacks on Saudi military targets.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says Tehran is “not at war with Saudi Arabia”, as tensions rise over Houthi attacks on the kingdom, Al Jazeera reported.
Pezeshkian said the Houthis have “their own issues”, distancing Iran from the group’s actions.
Houthis claimed they carried out a strike targeting a military base in Sharurah, Saudi Arabia, using ballistic missiles and drones.
The attack targeted “weapons depots and command and control centres that are managing the aggression against our nation and people”, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said.
