Israeli forces kill 19 Palestinians in three days of Gaza attacks

Israeli forces have killed 19 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since Saturday, as attacks on schools and universities continue despite the ceasefire. The Palestinian Health Ministry says the US-mediated truce of October 2025 has failed to curb near-daily Israeli strikes, with more than 5,989 violations recorded.

Israeli forces have killed 19 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip since Saturday, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The ministry said on Tuesday afternoon that six people had been killed in the previous 24 hours, following 13 deaths over the weekend.

One Palestinian succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday morning after Israeli forces bombed the displacement camp where he was staying in Khan Younis.

Another was killed in an air strike targeting a group of people at the University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS) in Khan Younis.

Israeli attacks on school pupils and university students across the Gaza Strip have increased in recent weeks, following the start of the new academic year.

At least 14 pupils and four teachers were killed in Gaza in October, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Three employees of the Islamic University were also killed in an Israeli bombing on campus last month.

The ministry further reported that more than 97 percent of schools and universities in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed by Israeli attacks.

The remaining educational institutions and alternative learning facilities continue to face the threat of further attacks and damage, it added.

Elsewhere, Gaza's Ministry of Interior reported an Israeli air strike targeting police officers and security personnel in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.

Several people were killed and wounded, the ministry said, without providing a final death toll.

Violations of ceasefire

The attacks come as Israel continues to violate the October 2025 ceasefire in Gaza.

The US-mediated agreement was intended to halt Israel's genocide by ending the bombardment and lifting restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid.

However, Israel has continued to carry out near-daily air strikes and demolitions of homes.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli forces have killed nearly 1,600 Palestinians since the ceasefire came into effect, including more than 340 children.

A further 5,700 people have been wounded.

The overall Palestinian death toll since the genocide began in October 2023 has reached at least 74,600, according to the ministry. Thousands more people remain missing or buried under the rubble.

Israeli authorities have also continued to impose tight restrictions on the entry of aid and goods into Gaza.

An average of just 200 trucks have been allowed into the territory each day, well below the agreed 600 and the estimated minimum required to meet Gaza's needs.

According to Gaza's Government Media Office, Israeli forces have committed 5,989 violations of the ceasefire since it took effect on 11 October 2025.

These include air strikes, shootings, home demolitions, raids and arbitrary arrests.
