Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian vowed that Tehran will not remain passive in the face of US attacks on Larak Island, asserting Iran's capability to deliver a decisive response. Meanwhile, Iran's deputy foreign minister called for isolating foreign actors from the region and warned that Washington needs a severe lesson to halt its aggression.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has vowed that Tehran "will not stand by" following US attacks on Larak Island.

“We do not seek war, that has been our message to the world,” Pezeshkian said.

But he warned that Tehran is "capable of delivering a decisive response".

"Instability in this region would affect everyone and create serious problems," he said.

Meanwhile, Iran’s deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, said that “foreigners must be cut off” from the region following the attack.

In comments carried by Fars news agency, Gharibabadi said that the Washinton needs to “learn a serious lesson” so it doesn't “repeat their aggressions”.

The American attack on southern Iran's Larak Island reportedly killed and wounded several Iranian civilians and soldiers, Iran's state news broadcaster IRIB reported.

In response, Tehran unleashed a slew of strikes on American infrastructure in Jordan and the UAE.
