Yemen's internationally recognised government said it carried out 1,417 strikes against the Houthis over 24 hours, killing or wounding about 800 fighters and destroying or disabling more than 190 armoured vehicles. The Houthis, for their part, accused the Saudi-led coalition of hitting civilian areas in several governorates.
Forces of Yemen's internationally recognised government said on Saturday they had carried out 1,417 strikes against the Houthis over the previous 24 hours, killing or wounding about 800 fighters.
Spokesperson Majed Abdullah al-Nuzaili said the strikes had destroyed or disabled more than 190 armoured vehicles and supply assets.
The army also said they had hit Houthi barracks, depots and command centres in northern al-Jawf governorate, and had repelled a Houthi attack south of Taiz city with air support.
Meanwhile, the Houthis accused the Saudi-led coalition of hitting civilians.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said on Saturday that coalition warplanes had conducted 53 air strikes within the past 24 hours, killing and injuring many people.
According to Saree, the raids hit civilian areas in the capital Sanaa as well as in Taiz, Ibb, Lahj, Saada and Amran governorates.
