Millions of Europeans gazed skyward Wednesday as the Moon passed before the Sun in a rare solar eclipse. The phenomenon brought total darkness to parts of Iceland and northern Spain, while much of the continent witnessed a spectacular partial eclipse obscuring more than 90% of the solar disk.
