Footage shot by photojournalist Mahmoud Hamda shows displaced Palestinian families wading through the rain water that has inundated their tents.

Young children can be seen ankle deep in murky water, trying to sweep it with brooms from their makeshift homes.

Heavy rains in the territory have deluged around 70,000 tents. Scarce aid- particularly shelter materials like tent poles and mobile homes- has left Palestinians exposed to the elements for the fourth winter in a row.

Israel's razing of Gaza's infrastructure- including water and sewage networks- and its healthcare system, means that Palestinians are particularly vulnerable to the onset of disease.
