Secretary-general and chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Mohammed al-Issa, said the project poses a threat to Palestinian statehood and is aimed at altering the geographic and demographic character of the occupied Palestinian territory.
He further called for international pressure to halt Israel's settlement policies and preserve a two-state solution.
