US President Donald Trump stated that the Hormuz Strait crisis will resolve favourably and predicted the Iran war will end very soon, with oil prices plummeting afterward. His comments come amid mounting concerns over rapid Houthi advances in Yemen and threats to Saudi Arabia's critical energy infrastructure.
US President Donald Trump said the crisis over shipping through the Strait of Hormuz will “work out just fine”, as fears increase about regional security following swift Houthi advances in Yemen and reports of strikes near Saudi Arabia’s vital oil infrastructure.
Speaking in Dublin after meeting Irish President Catherine Connolly, Trump was asked if he could help restore vital shipping traffic through the strategic waterway. “Everything will work out just fine,” said Trump.
His comments follow the Houthis’ expansion of control along Yemen’s Red Sea coast and fears of attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure.
Trump also said the war with Iran will be over “very soon”, adding that once the war ends, oil prices would plummet.
