Iranian officials have hailed the Houthis' seizure of Yemen's entire Red Sea coastline as a "divine triumph" resulting from years of steadfast resistance. Tehran claims the advance has placed the United States and its allies in a strategic and tactical impasse.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has congratulated Yemen’s Houthis following reports of them seizing the entire Red Sea coastline of the country.
The advance was described by IRGC spokesman Sardar Mohebi as a “divine triumph” and the culmination of years of resistance by the group.
The Houthis’ advance represents a “divine triumph and the fruit of years of steadfastness in the most difficult of battlefields”, Mohebi wrote on X.
Iranian officials have continued to hail the Houthi gains.
Mohammad Mokhber, an adviser to Iran’s supreme leader, said that “the homegrown resolve of the resistance have driven the US and its allies into a tactical and strategic impasse”.
