An Israeli airstrike killed a three-year-old child and another Palestinian near a bakery in central Gaza on Sunday, according to health officials. Gaza health authorities report more than 1,300 Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began in October 2025.

The dead were identified as Hussam Nasser and three-year-old Taym Hamdan, while several others were wounded in the attack in Deir el-Balah.
The Israeli military earlier said it had targeted and killed a Hamas fighter whom it accused of involvement in attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
Gaza health officials say more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025.
