Turkish foreign minister, Hakan Fidan, has said that Israel is "the biggest obstacle" to Syria's development after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime.

His remarks during a visit to Damascus came at a time when the Israeli army continues to advance and consolidate ground on Syrian soil, according to Reuters.
