Ninety-four-year-old Margaret Owen has been arrested again under the Terrorism Act in the United Kingdom for defying the ban on Palestine Action, according to Defend Our Juries.
Defend Our Juries, a campaign group, said on X that dozens of fresh arrests during Saturday's protest outside the US embassy in London bring the total number of arrests under the Terrorism Act in the UK to over 4,000.
A former human rights lawyer, Owen was arrested at a protest outside the Labour Party conference in Liverpool on 27 September. She said she had been trying for months to get arrested.
She said was driven “a long way away” to a police station where she was finger printed and issued her bail conditions which stipulate she must report to a police station on 27 December.
