A large-scale police operation is underway in Switzerland after a shooting at a rave in the town of Aarau, 46 kilometres west of Zurich, left one person dead and five others injured. Swiss daily Blick reported that some attendees initially mistook the gunshots for fireworks, until someone shouted, “everyone down”. Police are appealing to potential witnesses who may have photos or videos of the incident to come forward and share them with investigators.
