Former Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi was seen meeting with an International Committee of the Red Cross representative on August 3rd in a rare public appearance. The 81-year-old Nobel Peace Prize laureate has been detained since early 2021, when a military coup toppled her civilian government, leaving her whereabouts and condition largely unknown to the international community.
